What are vodka spritzers?
A vodka spritzer is a simple combination of vodka, sparkling water and fruit.
Ingredients
Vodka. You can use whatever vodka you prefer, I recommend using plain vodka if you want to keep this low-calorie.
Soda Water. I like to use lemon-flavored soda water to give some more lemon flavor. There are so many fun flavored soda waters, you can definitely get creative! Alternatively, you can use plain soda water.
Lemon. You'll definitely want fresh lemon for this cocktail, it adds the perfect amount of zest and fresh element.
Sweetener. I use just a bit of Stevia in this recipe to add a bit of sweetness to this. Stevia is a natural 0-calorie sweetener, you can also use honey syrup. Simply dissolve equal parts honey and hot water and you have a sweetener!
Variations
Vodka. Now, this would totally change the name of the drink, but you can use tequila or gin if you want, too. Also, you can use flavored vodka if you like. Deep Eddy has amazing flavored vodka.
Lemon. You can sub out lemon for lime, orange, grapefruit or berries. You can also add berries to this spritzer to make a lemon berry vodka spritzer.
Sweetener. You can totally omit the sweetener aspect if you want, or you can have some fun with simple syrups or fruit juice.
