Itโ€™s crisp and refreshing. I personally love a little fizz in my cocktails, so the splash of soda water on top of fresh lemon is pure perfection.

Itโ€™s so easy to whip up at home. Seriously, SO easy! This is the perfect at-home cocktail recipe if you don't want to spend tons of money building up your home bar.

Itโ€™s so easy to customize! You can follow this recipe with lemon, you can muddle berries, use lime, it's so easy to customize.

If you're looking for a low-calorie vodka spritzer recipe, you will love this lemon version! It's a refreshing yet simple vodka cocktail, let's make it!

    What are vodka spritzers?

A vodka spritzer is a simple combination of vodka, sparkling water and fruit.

    Ingredients

Vodka. You can use whatever vodka you prefer, I recommend using plain vodka if you want to keep this low-calorie.

Soda Water. I like to use lemon-flavored soda water to give some more lemon flavor. There are so many fun flavored soda waters, you can definitely get creative! Alternatively, you can use plain soda water.

Lemon. You'll definitely want fresh lemon for this cocktail, it adds the perfect amount of zest and fresh element.

Sweetener. I use just a bit of Stevia in this recipe to add a bit of sweetness to this. Stevia is a natural 0-calorie sweetener, you can also use honey syrup. Simply dissolve equal parts honey and hot water and you have a sweetener!

    Variations

Vodka. Now, this would totally change the name of the drink, but you can use tequila or gin if you want, too. Also, you can use flavored vodka if you like. Deep Eddy has amazing flavored vodka.

Lemon. You can sub out lemon for lime, orange, grapefruit or berries. You can also add berries to this spritzer to make a lemon berry vodka spritzer.

Sweetener. You can totally omit the sweetener aspect if you want, or you can have some fun with simple syrups or fruit juice.

If you're looking for a low-calorie vodka spritzer recipe, you will love this lemon version! It's a refreshing yet simple vodka cocktail, let's make it!

    How to make vodka spritzer

    1. In a tall glass filled with ice, add 2.5 oz. of vodka.
    2. Add in your lemon juice and stevia. Stir.
    3. Top with sparkling water, stir and garnish.
    4. Cheers!

    Recipe Tips

Making this a batch cocktail. You can make this into a batch cocktail, but do not pour the sparkling water until you serve it. Simply combine the vodka, lemon juice and stevia in a pitcher. Place in the fridge until you're ready to serve and top with sparkling water.

Have fun with the garnishes! Use some herbs, and candied lemon peels, have some fun with the garnishes!

Donโ€™t shake this cocktail. The bubbly from the sparkling water will cause everything to explode.

    FAQ

When to serve a vodka spritzer?

Vodka Spritzers can be served any time of the year! Get creative with fruit that's in season to really customize this drink to make it fun and relevant.

What is the difference between spritzer and seltzer?

Spritzers are drinks that you make yourself, whereas seltzers are prepackaged drinks that are ready to go, with no cocktail-making necessary! Think White Claw vs. this drink.

    Can I make this a non-alcoholic spritzer?

You sure can! Simply omit the vodka.

    Is a spritzer less alcohol?

It depends on what you compare it to. Compared to a Cosmopolitan cocktail, yes. Compared to a wine spritzer? No.
