Ghostly Baked Goat Cheese Dip

It's easy to make. If you are looking to be a crowd favorite, you have got to make this baked goat cheese dip. It's so easy to make, and it is always a crowd-pleaser.

It's delicious. I know goat cheese might be polarizing, but I LOVE goat cheese! The combination of marinara with the goat cheese is one of my favorite appetizers.

Ingredients

Goat Cheese Log. I use just a 6 oz goat cheese log, and it is so much easier to shape than you might think! The goat cheese stays together nicely but it isn't too firm to give you a hard time while shaping your ghost.

Marinara. You can use marinara or vodka sauce, either is delicious and pairs perfectly with the goat cheese.

Black Peppercorns or Black Olives. I used black peppercorns to make two eyes and a mouth, you can also use black olives if you'd like

Crostinis. I like serving this with crostinis, and I make my own! They are so simple to make, and I included

How to make this ghostly goat cheese dip

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F.
  2. Using parchment paper, shape your log of goat cheese into a ghost. I recommend putting parchment paper under the goat cheese as well as using a piece on top to shape it.
  3. In a cast iron skillet or small baking dish, add in ½ a jar of marinara or vodka sauce.
  4. Add your ghost goat cheese on top and place your black peppercorns or olives as the eyes and mouth.
  5. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
  6. While your goat cheese dip is baking, you can make your crostinis if you haven't bought pre-made crostinis.
  7. Slice a French loaf into small ¼" slices.
  8. Spray a non-stick pan with olive oil and place your slices in the pan. Spray the tops of the slices with additional olive oil.
  9. Toast the crostinis evenly on both sides until they are golden brown.
  10. Once your goat cheese dip is baked, serve immediately with crostinis, and enjoy!

Substitutions and variations

Marinara. You can always use vodka sauce for this recipe, too! The orange of the vodka sauce would be perfect for this recipe. You can also use homemade marinara or vodka sauce to really level things up.

Crostini. You can also serve this dip with crackers or homemade garlic bread!
