Ingredients

Aperol. Aperol is an Italian liqueur, and it's a bitter orange taste. You have probably enjoyed an Aperol Spritz (or two) before.

Lime. Fresh lime juice is a must for any Paloma recipe.

Tequila. I like using Blanco tequila for this Aperol Paloma.

Grapefruit Soda. Grapefruit soda is a must for any Paloma recipe!

How to make an Aperol paloma

  1. In a glass filled with ice, pour in 1 oz Aperol, ½ oz lime juice, 1 ½ oz tequila, and top with grapefruit soda.
  2. Give it a stir and garnish with a grapefruit peel.

Substitutions and variations

Grapefruit soda. If you don't have grapefruit soda, you can use 1 oz of fresh grapefruit juice, 1 oz soda water and ½ oz simple syrup.

Peach Aperol Paloma. If you want to make this an even more perfect summer cocktail, you can add peach schnapps. Instead of 1 ½ oz of tequila, you can use 1 oz tequila and ½ oz peach schnapps.

Paloma Spritz. You can sub out the tequila for 3 oz of prosecco to make a super delicious paloma spritz.
