This might be my favorite espresso martini variation. This tiramisu espresso martini will be your new go-to dessert cocktail. It's so easy to make and it's just the best.
You'll love this tiramisu espresso martini
It's delicious. Who doesn't love tiramisu? Take all the flavors you love, coffee, almond, a bit of chocolate, and putting it into an espresso martini? Say less!
It's the perfect dessert cocktail. Combine your favorite after-dinner drink and favorite dessert, or honestly have a slice of tiramisu with this, and it is the perfect ending to any meal.
Ingredients
Amaretto Liqueur. Amaretto is an Italian liqueur and it is used in some tiramisu recipes. It's an almond liqueur with a hint of apricot. It is an absolute must for your home bar!
Chocolate Liqueur. I recommend using just a bit of chocolate liqueur to really emphasize the chocolate flavor that you can find in the soaked ladyfinger cookies in the traditional dessert recipe. In traditional tiramisu, you soak ladyfingers in dark cocoa powder, espresso, and vanilla.
Kahlua. You'll need Kahlua, or any coffee liqueur. I prefer Kahlua because it is a bit sweeter. If you use another one like Mr. Black, you might want to add a bit of simple syrup, depending on how sweet you like your cocktails.
Vodka. Plain vodka is perfect for this recipe!
Espresso. For both recipes, both tiramisu and an espresso martini, you'll need espresso!
Cocoa Powder. This is one of my favorite parts of this tiramisu martini. Just like traditional tiramisu, top the cocktail with a dusting of cocoa powder.
How to make a tiramisu espresso martini
- In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, amaretto, Kahlua, chocolate liqueur, and espresso.
- Add ice and shake well.
- Strain into your favorite martini glass.
- Using a small fine mesh strainer, add a dusting of cocoa powder to the top of the martini.
- Then, of course this is a step, add 3 espresso beans.
- Cheers!
Substitutions and variations
Amaretto. If you don't have amaretto, I recommend just using 1.5 oz of coffee liqueur instead and adding ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Vodka. You could also make this recipe with vanilla vodka!
