Ingredients

Bourbon. I love using Rabbit Hole Cavehill Bourbon for this cocktail. It's made with honey malted barley, so the honey flavor of the bourbon is amplified in this cocktail.

Honey Syrup. Honey syrup is so easy to make; all you need to do is combine equal parts honey and hot water! I don't even keep a bottle of it in my fridge; I just make it whenever I need it.

Lemon Juice.

Substitutions and variations

Bourbon. If you don't have bourbon, you can use whatever whiskey you have on hand! Bourbon is typically a bit sweeter, so I prefer to use it for this cocktail.

Lemon Juice. If you don't have lemon juice, you can use orange juice or lemonade. If you use lemonade, note that the cocktail will be far sweeter, so you may want to use less honey syrup.
