Tips for making these appetizers ahead of time
Taking the stress out of party prep is easier than you think. Here are the best tips for making your Cinco de Mayo appetizers ahead of time so you can enjoy the fiesta just as much as your guests do.
- Prep your salsa 1-2 days early. I personally love giving salsa some time in the fridge, I feel like the flavors really develop and come together so nicely.
- Assemble flautas and freeze them. You can totally assemble flautas ahead of time and freeze them! Roll your flautas, place them on a baking sheet to freeze individually, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake straight from frozen the day of the party, no thawing needed.
- Make dips 1-2 days ahead of time. Similar to the salsas, you can make any cold dip a day or two ahead of time!
Whenever you're making something ahead of time, be sure you're storing it in an airtight container in the fridge!
