So, I love when I go to ALDI or Trader Joe's and they have those little immunity shots. I'll grab one, but then I started making them at home. Especially with citrus in season during the winter, I'm hooked on this homemade immune booster shot recipe. It's packed with vitamin c and immune-boosting ingredients.
WHAT GOES INTO THIS HOMEMADE IMMUNITY BOOSTER WELLNESS SHOT?
In this particular immune booster shot recipe, I use lemon, grapefruit and ginger. Lemon and ginger are always my base for wellness shots, but I couldn't resist adding grapefruit and taking advantage of winter citrus season.
I've made a similar type of shot with fresh pineapple during the summer when pineapple were in season. It was so good, and you can find the full recipe and video in this Instagram video I posted!
HOW TO MAKE A GINGER SHOT
You can always make a ginger shot with a juicer, but I like to make these homemade ginger shots, or wellness shots, or immune booster shots WHATEVER you want to call them, in my Nutribullet. I then take the juice through a strainer to remove the pulp.
I then just store it in a glass jar or bottle for up to 5 days! I take a swig, a pull, a shot, every morning.
