It's easy to make. Like any spritz recipe, this Lillet Rose spritz comes together quickly! It is so easy to make and perfect for those Valentine's Day or Galentine's Day celebrations.
The color is perfect. Lillet Rose has the prettiest pink hue and such a fruity flavor. You will love this cocktail!
What is Lillet Rose?
Lillet Rose is a type of Lillet, which is a French aperitif. Lillet, which comes in three varieties, blanc, rose, and rouge, but it's a French wine aperitif made of a blend of wines, herbs, spices, citrus, and fruits.
Ingredients
Lillet Rose. Lillet Rose is a very fruit-forward-tasting drink. You get hit with notes of berries, like strawberries, and raspberries, along with grapefruit, and orange blossom.
Sparkling Wine. Like any spritz, you need a sparkling wine! I prefer to use a more affordable prosecco or cava, since the flavor is being mixed with other cocktail ingredients.
Sparkling Water. Just a touch of sparkling water to top off any spritz recipe.
How to make a Lillet Rose Spritz
- Fill a wine glass up with fresh ice cubes.
- Add 3 oz of sparkling wine, 2 oz of Lillet Rose, and 1 oz of sparkling water.
- Garnish with a slice of strawberry and fresh basil for a pop of color.
3-2-1 Spritz method
The spritz is a classic cocktail that everyone should know how to make, and as long as you remember the 3-2-1 method, you'll get the perfect spritz every time! It's 3 oz prosecco, 2 oz aperitif (like Lillet, Aperol, Campari) and 1 oz sparkling water. Now, depending on your personal preference, you might like a bit more sparkling wine and a bit less aperitif, or visa versa.
Substitutions and variations
Lillet Rose. If you don't have Lillet Rose, I recommend substituting with Lillet Blanc and making the classic Lillet Spritz recipe. There are three types of Lillet, so if you don't want to use the rose or the blanc, you could also use Lillet Rouge, too!
Sparkling Wine. You can use whatever dry sparkling wine you like! Lillet Rose is on the sweeter side, so I always prefer pairing it with a dry white wine to make this Lillet Rosé Spritz.
Sparkling Water. You can also use club soda, soda water, mineral water, strawberry-flavored sparkling water, or tonic water.
Garnish ideas
- Raspberries
- Sprig of thyme
- Fresh mint
- Fresh lemons slice
