You'll love these Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispie treats

The fruity flavor? You can't beat the fruity flavor paired with marshmallows, butter, and just a splash of vanilla. The fruity twist on classic Rice Krispie treats is so good, you'll love it! Plus all the vibrant colors?! What's not to love!

This recipe is so simple. I use the 1-1-1-1 method. No leftover ingredients taking up cabinet or fridge space, you can just make this recipe and then throw away the empty wrappers and containers.

Who doesn't love a no-bake dessert for summer? Nobody wants their oven on when the summer heat is climbing up to triple digits, but sometimes you need a solid dessert, am I right? This is that dessert.

These Fruity Pebbles Treats are seriously the BEST. I think they are way better than Rice Krispie Treats, and they are the perfect no-bake summer dessert recipe.

    Ingredients

Here are the 4 simple ingredients you'll need to make these fruity pebbles rice krispies treats.

Fruity Pebbles. I mean, duh! I use one whole 11 oz. box and that comes out to about 7.5 cups.

Marshmallows. I opt for the large marshmallows. I find that gives me the best marshmallow texture when making any cereal bars like these Fruity Pebble treats, chocolate peanut butter Rice Krispie treats, Cinnamon Toast Crunch treats, or traditional Rice Krispie treats.

Butter. I use a whole stick of butter. That is the number 1 reason why these are the best fruity pebble cereal treats ever.

Vanilla Extract. I like to enhance the flavor just a bit by adding a splash of vanilla in there!

How to make Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispie treats

    1. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray or butter. Set aside.
    2. In a large pot, over medium heat, melt your stick of butter.
    3. Reduce the heat to low, pour your marshmallows and vanilla, and stir with the melted butter until melted. Do not stop stirring.
    4. Once marshmallows are melted, remove them from the heat. Pour in the Fruity Pebbles and fold the melted marshmallows with the cereal.
    5. Once everything is evenly mixed, pour it into your prepared pan. You can use your wooden spoon or parchment paper to press the treats evenly into the dish.
    6. Allow for the treats to cool in the fridge for minimum 30 minutes.

Tip: If you are using unsalted butter, I recommend adding ¼ teaspoon of salt to this mix.

Can you make Fruity Pebble treats with marshmallow fluff?

Yes! You will need to use 10 oz or 3 cups of marshmallow fluff in place of the regular marshmallows. You will melt the marshmallow fluff with butter, just like you do with regular marshmallows. The only difference will be the time it takes for the marshmallow and butter to come together.

These are the best fruity pebble cereal treats! They are the perfect no-bake summer dessert recipe that everyone will love.

Tips for making Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispie treats

Regular-sized marshmallows. I find when making any cereal treats, regular-sized marshmallows are better to use than mini marshmallows. You also want to make sure you have fresh marshmallows! If you are using old marshmallows your Fruity Pebbles treats recipe could turn out hard and stale.

Brown Butter. If you really want to take your Fruity Pebble krispie treats to the next level, use browned butter!

    Storing leftover Fruity Pebble treats

The best way to store these fruity pebble treats is in an airtight container. If your 9x13 has a lid, you can use that, plastic wrap or slice them up and place them in Tupperware.
