Crescent Rolls in the air fryer?!
No oven required! When it's summertime in the Midwest, the last thing I think anyone wants to do is turn on the oven. Luckily, there's no oven required for making canned crescent rolls.
They turn out better than if baked in the oven. I stand by that. They are so golden brown and flakey on the outside, but so soft and buttery on the inside. Pure. Perfection.
Here’s what you’ll need…
I like to keep things simple around here, and this recipe could be one of the simplest ones. All you need is a can of refrigerated crescent rolls!
You can opt to brush some butter on top of the rolls, but I opt to keep them as they are.
How to make crescent rolls in the air fryer?
It is so simple and only takes a few minutes. Here's how to air fry crescent rolls.
- Preheat the air fryer to 330F, if your air fryer doesn't have a preheat setting, let it run at 330F for 3 minutes.
- While the air fryer is preheating, roll your crescent rolls.
- Once all the crescents are rolled, spray your air fryer basket.
- Place the rolls in one by one arranging them with enough space to cook.
- If you have to do multiple batches, that's ok! You'd rather leave enough room than cram them into the air fryer basket and have them cook unevenly.
- Cook at 330F for 6-8 minutes, mine cooked in 7.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Where in the store can I find crescent rolls?
They are in the refrigerator section, normally by the pre-made cookies and other Pillsbury products.
Tips for canned crescent rolls in the air fryer
Don’t overcrowd. You want the to be able to have room to evenly cook. Remember the air fryer cooks by circulating air, so you want to make sure there is room for the air to do its magic.
Don’t stack them. Again, back to my point of overcrowding. It is best if you have to make multiple batches rather than stacking or putting them too close to one another.
Keep an eye on them - Every air fryer cooks differently. I recommend cooking for 6 minutes and checking on them. The crescent rolls pictured were cooked at 330F for 7 minutes.

Cosori Air Fryer - Of course, you need an air fryer for this recipe. I use the PowerVortex XL, but always recommend the Cosori Air Fryer.
Heat-Resistant Spatulas - These are great to help get the crescent rolls out of the air fryer without burning your fingers.

What’s the difference between a canned crescent roll and a croissant?
Crescent rolls are more roll-like since they consist of bread dough. This means they use water and yeast to get the rise effect. Whereas croissants use the layering technique of puff pastry and butter. So, in short, crescent rolls are more bread-like and croissants are more pastry-like.
