You'll love this baked brie with red pepper jelly

You’ll love the combination of brie with hot pepper jelly. It's sweet, creamy, spicy, and savory, all the flavor combinations with only 2 ingredients.

It’s the perfect winter appetizer. It only takes 10-12 minutes to bake in the oven, so you can quickly throw it in there when guests arrive!

It’s so simple to make! Trust me when I say you cannot mess this recipe up. With only 3 ingredients and minimal time, it's the easiest appetizer to make, especially during the holiday season.

What jelly goes best with brie?

Lots of jelly goes with brie! I personally love spicy jelly, strawberry jelly, or pepper jelly.

But brie can go savory or sweet, so whether you have bacon jam or fruit jelly, it's so versatile and perfect for any time of year.

    Ingredients

Brie Cheese. I always buy wheels of brie from ALDI. I don't think you can beat the price for the quality.

Pepper Jelly. Use whatever pepper jelly you like! They all have the relatively same spice level.

Crackers. As much as I can totally eat this with a spoon, you absolutely need crackers to serve this with!

How to bake brie without a brie baker

A brie baker is a round baking dish, if you want one, totally get one! However, it isn't necessary. Here's how to bake brie without a brie baker.

    1. Preheat your oven to 350F.
    2. In a baking dish, place your wheel of brie in the middle.
    3. Add 2-3 tablespoon of pepper jelly on top.
    4. Place in the oven and bake for 8 minutes.
    5. Allow to cool for 2 minutes.
    6. Serve with crackers and enjoy!

Tips to make the best spicy baked brie recipe

    • Don't take the rind off! It keeps everything together.
    • Want some extra spicy? Add some hot honey or diced jalapenos on top.
    • Add some roasted pepitas or chopped walnuts on top for an extra crunch.

Do you bake brie covered or uncovered?

Uncovered! That's another reason why I love this recipe, you don't need any fancy baking dishes! You just need an oven-safe dish.

Baked brie with pepper jelly is one of my favorite winter appetizer recipes! It is so easy to make and always hits the spot.

Do you put jam on brie before baking?

Yes!! Everything is served warm, and it is so delicious. The jam melts just the slightest bit and everything is absolute perfection when served together.

What do you serve with baked brie?

I like serving buttery crackers, like Ritz. I think they are sturdy enough but also add such a great flavor. Alternatively, you can always go with water crackers for something sturdy.

You can also serve baked brie with bagel chips, pretzels, crostinis, or apples.

    FAQs

Do you take the rind off brie before baking?

No! The rind helps keep the cheese intact while baking.

Why is my baked brie rubbery?

If your baked brie is rubbery, it is overcooked. Be sure to keep an eye on it since it cooks so quickly.

Do you eat the wax off brie?

    You can absolutely! I do.

Should brie be heated before serving?

It doesn't have to be, but for this baked brie with red pepper jelly, it's best served hot.

Hello. I’m wondering why Brie bakers have covers,if you do not cover your baking Brie.

Some people prefer to bake it with a cover! The cover is to preserve moisture to ensure the brie doesn't dry out, but I haven't noticed that to be an issue since I only bake it for a short amount of time.
