You'll love this hocus pocus punch
It's easy to make. Who doesn't love having a themed punch bowl at a party? This is such a fun punch to make, and it's delicious.
It's the perfect Halloween punch. Between the color and the garnishes, this is such a perfect Halloween big-batch cocktail!
Ingredients
There are lots of variations of this Hocus Pocus Halloween punch, I love this semi-tropical twist on it!
Pineapple Juice. I like buying cans, similar to soda cans, of pineapple juice! It stays fresh for much longer and that way I'm not wasting an entire bottle of pineapple juice.
Orange Juice. If you can get fresh squeezed orange juice, I recommend that! I find fresh squeezed to make all the difference.
Mango Nectar. The mango nectar is thicker than the orange and pineapple juice, but adds such a delicious sweetness to this drink! It helps cut through the acidic sweetness of the orange and pineapple juice.
Vodka or Tequila. Pick your poison! This spooky drink is delicious with either vodka or tequila.
Ginger Ale. I like to add a bit of fizz to this punch as I serve it, and the ginger ale pairs so well with all the flavors.
How to make this hocus pocus punch
- In a large punch bowl, combine 3 cups of vodka or tequila, 1 cup of pineapple juice, 1 cup of orange juice, and 1 cup of mango nectar.
- Add ice, gummy worms, and any other Halloween gummy candies you might have.
- To serve, add a ladle full of the drink into a glass filled with ice. Top with a 1-2 oz of ginger ale, and enjoy!
Substitutions and variations
Dry Ice. If you really want to have a spooky Halloween punch, you can get your hands (glove-covered hands that is) on some dry ice! The smoke is SO cool and so perfect for Halloween drinks.
Ginger Ale. If you don't have ginger ale, or just don't prefer it, you can always use lemon-lime soda or sparkling water.
Non-alcoholic. This can of course be made as a non-alcoholic drink! Just omit the vodka or tequila and add half a cup to all the juice measurements. Alternatively, you can make the punch non-alcoholic and put out bottles of vodka and tequila next to the punch so people have an option to make it an alcoholic hocus pocus drink.
Sherbert. You can serve by scooping orange sherbet into the punch bowl. You can do orange or rainbow sherbet! Lime Sherbet would even be great, too.
Garnishes. You don't have to garnish with gummy Halloween candy! You can also throw in things like plastic spiders or plastic eyeballs.
Punch Bowl. If you don't have a punch bowl, you can still make this big batched cocktail! Simply use a large pitcher instead and it'll still be a big hit.
How to serve hocus pocus punch
Punch Bowl. I served this punch in this pumpkin punch bowl from Target. You can also grab a large cauldron! That would be so fun to serve out of.
Pouring the Punch. To serve the punch, I recommend pouring 5 oz of punch into a glass filled with ice. That's about a ladle full of punch, and topping with ginger ale.
