You'll love these air fryer shrimp tacos
They're easy to make. This air fryer shrimp taco recipe is the easiest taco night recipe! Shrimp's cooking time in the air fryer is only 8-10 minutes, so this is perfect for a quick and easy taco recipe.
It's customizable. No matter what your diet or lifestyle preferences are, these air-fried shrimp tacos are completely customizable. You can serve them with flour tortillas, as lettuce wraps, with a pineapple salsa, or with a simple slaw on the side. The options are almost endless!
Ingredients
Shrimp. I prefer using fresh shrimp for this recipe, but if you have shrimp in the freezer, you can easily thaw them out before cooking.
Bread Crumbs. I use panko breadcrumbs for this recipe to get crispy shrimp.
Chili Lime Seasoning. This is my preferred go-to taco seasoning! I buy chili lime seasoning from Trader Joe's, it is a cabinet staple.
Cumin. To complement the chili lime seasoning, I always add a dash of cumin. No taco recipe is complete without cumin, in my opinion.
Garlic Powder. Of course, you need garlic! I like using garlic powder as opposed to fresh garlic. It combines with the breading much better and cooks much better in the air fryer.
Onion Powder. I love using the garlic + onion powder combination.
Olive Oil. To bind everything together, make sure your air fryer basket won't stick to the shrimp, and to make sure the air fryer shrimp is crispy, you'll need olive oil.

Substitutions and variations
Bread Crumbs. If you are gluten-free, you can use your favorite gluten-free bread crumbs or any bread crumbs you have available.
Tortillas. I prefer to use corn tortillas but you can use flour tortillas or lettuce wraps.
Chili Powder. If you don't have chili lime seasoning, you can use chili powder and fresh lime juice.
Toppings for this air fryer shrimp tacos recipe
- Pickled Red Onion. I love the crunch and the tanginess of pickled red onion with this air fryer shrimp.
- Cabbage Slaw. I love a simple cabbage slaw with fish tacos. A coleslaw mix of purple cabbage, cilantro, mayo, and fresh lime juice is all you need! Such simple ingredients for the perfect topping for air fryer tacos.
- Mango Salsa. Fresh mangos diced and mixed with fresh jalapeno, cilantro, chili powder, red onion, and lime juice.
- Pineapple Pico de Gallo. Just like above, swap the mango out for pineapple! Alternatively, you can combine mango and pineapple. It's such an easy recipe and is so delicious on top of these tacos.
