You’ll love this Thanksgiving sangria
It’s delicious. I love the spiciness of the apple cider paired with the sweetness of the cranberry juice, and all tied together with the red wine. It’s so tasty!
It’s easy to make. With just a few ingredients and some time for the sangria to rest in the fridge, you can easily whip this up for any celebration.
It’s perfect for Thanksgiving dinner. Who doesn’t love a fun Thanksgiving sangria to pair with dinner?!
Ingredients
Red Wine. When you’re mixing wine, especially for sangria, don’t use your nicest bottle of red! You’re mixing the wine with brandy and fruit juices, so you’ll want a medium-light-bodied red. I like a Merlot or a Tempranillo when making red wine sangria.
Brandy. I love using brandy; it adds a sweet, spicy flavor and enhances the fruit flavors of the juices.
Cranberry Juice. Remember, use cranberry juice cocktail, not pure cranberry juice! Pure cranberry juice is so tart, it’ll ruin the sangria.
Pomegranate Juice. I love adding a splash of pomegranate juice just to really add that fall flavor.
Orange Juice. I love the zest the fresh orange juice brings to the sangria
Sliced Apples, Oranges, and Cinnamon Sticks. I love to add these right when I serve the sangria! Sangria needs fresh fruit.
