Pineapple ranch water is the easiest and most delicious twist to the traditional ranch water cocktail recipe. This pineapple tequila cocktail is simple, delicious, and the perfect summer drink recipe. After you make it for the first time, you will be so hooked!
You'll love this pineapple ranch water
It's so easy to make. You certainly don't need to be a mixologist for this easy cocktail, and I'm going to bet this will be your new favorite drink! It's so simple and has the best flavor. It's like a homemade hard seltzer.
It's the perfect drink for the summer months. If you are looking for an easy yet refreshing cocktail for those hot summer days, you have to make this recipe! I love making this drink to enjoy by the pool, at the beach or on a boat, because it's so easy to make and doesn't require extra cups or anything if you want a mixed drink.
It's delicious. I LOVE this drink, it's one of my favorites! The sweetness of pineapple paired with the zestiness of lime and the bite of tequila? Consider it perfection.
Ingredients
Tequila. I recommend using Blanco tequila for this recipe. Blanco, or silver tequila, is unaged tequila, so it makes for a great mixing tequila! It has that tequila flavor, but it's very simple, clean, and a perfect base for mixing cocktails.
Fresh Pineapple Juice. Now, if you know anything about me and my recipes, you know I like to keep things SIMPLE. With that being said, I recommend buying cold-pressed fresh pineapple juice. It tastes so much better than any other pineapple juice. If you don't think you'll use the whole bottle, I recommend freezing them in ice cube molds. That way you can defrost it and have fresh cold-pressed pineapple juice whenever you want it!
Fresh Lime Juice. Real lime juice is an absolute MUST. You cannot use fake lime juice for any cocktail recipe!
Topo Chico. A true ranch water recipe means you must use Topo Chico, a mineral water. Not only do I enjoy Topo Chico, I love the glass bottle it comes in making it the perfect vessel for this pineapple ranch water.
What is a classic ranch water recipe?
A traditional Texas ranch water recipe is a simple three-ingredient cocktail that involves tequila, sparkling mineral water (like Topo Chico), and fresh lime. It's a super simple tequila cocktail, and it is so refreshing. It's the perfect low-calorie summer cocktail.
How to make pineapple ranch water
- Drink your Topo Chico down to the label, or you can pour it down the sink.
- Add 2 oz. of tequila, ½ oz. fresh lime juice, and 1 oz. pineapple juice.
- Garnish with a fresh lime wedge, and enjoy!
Tip: Because I serve this in the Topo Chico bottle, you want to make sure your Topo Chico is ice cold! Preferably, all your ingredients are cold.
Substitutions and variations
Traditional ranch water. If you omit the pineapple juice, you can make yourself a traditional ranch water.
Other juices. If you want other flavors outside of pineapple, you can use different juices! I also love making a Paloma version of this, the hint of grapefruit flavor is delicious. The difference between that and a traditional Paloma is that a traditional Paloma uses grapefruit soda, whereas this would be using Topo Chico and just a little bit of grapefruit juice.
Reposado tequila. Although I do prefer blanco tequila when making mixed drinks, the aged tasted of reposado tequila pairs so well with the fresh pineapple juice.
Club soda. Although traditional ranch waters are made with Topo Chico, you can use whatever mineral water or club soda you prefer!
Serving it in a glass. If you want to mix up this cocktail and serve it in a glass, you can! Find your favorite cocktail glasses, fill them with ice, and enjoy.
Spicy ranch water. If you like a spicy tequila cocktail, try using this jalapeno-infused tequila as opposed to regular tequila for a spicy twist.
Mocktail. If you want to make this into a mocktail, you can use your favorite non-alcoholic tequila or completely omit the tequila in this recipe.
Garnish ideas
Whether you serve this pineapple ranch water in a bottle or in a glass, you gotta garnish it!
