You'll love this iced honey lavender latte
It's easy to make. Once you make the homemade lavender syrup, this could not be easier to make! You'll feel like you're at a coffee shop in your own home.
It's delicious. I love the addition of honey and lavender to make the perfect spring coffee, it's so delicious, that you'll fall in love with it at first sip!
Ingredients
Espresso. I have a Nespresso that I love. However, even if you don't have a Nespresso or any other espresso machine, you can still easily make this! I included some other ways to make espresso, or espresso-like coffee, below.
Honey. It is super easy to make a honey lavender syrup if you'd rather combine the two. I just brew my espresso over a teaspoon of honey to get that honey flavor! If you want to add honey to your homemade syrup, simply stir in 2 tablespoons while it's hot.
Lavender Simple Syrup. I love making homemade simple syrups like this blackberry syrup, raspberry syrup, or apple crisp syrup, and now this homemade lavender syrup is going to be added to the list!
Milk or Creamer. I used a bit of sweet cream coffee creamer, but you can use whatever neutral milk or creamer you prefer!
Ice (optional). I have made this into an iced latte, but if you prefer a hot latte, I've included how you can make yourself the perfect hot lavender latte below!

How to make homemade lavender syrup
I used this culinary lavender I got from Amazon to make this simple syrup. I store it in an airtight container in the fridge.
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until the sugar fully dissolves.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of dried lavender and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the lavender steep for 15–20 minutes (longer for a stronger flavor).
- Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the lavender buds.
- Pour into a clean jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Ways to brew espresso
If you don't have an espresso machine, that's ok! You can still make this honey lavender latte recipe. Here are some ways you can get either espresso or that espresso taste without an espresso machine.

- Strongly Brewed Coffee
Substitutes and variations
Hot Latte. If you want to make this into a hot honey lavender latte, that's so easy to do! Add 1 oz of lavender syrup and 3-4 oz of milk into a milk frother. Brew your espresso over 1 teaspoon of honey. Into your coffee mug, pour in your hot coffee, and then pour your steamed milk on top. If you want to get adventurous with your cup of coffee, you can try latte art!
Cold Brew. If you don't have an espresso maker, or just prefer cold brew, you can easily make this iced latte with your favorite cold brew instead! It technically won't be an iced latte anymore, but it'll still be delicious with the honey and lavender flavor.
Alternative Milk. I use creamer in this recipe, but you can also use oat milk, whole milk, almond milk, soy milk, skim milk, or whatever milk you prefer!
