If you're wondering how to get your beloved McDonald's hash browns at home, frozen hash brown patties in air fryer will be your new favorite way to make frozen hash browns!

You'll love making hash brown patties in the air fryer

They cook perfectly. Next time you're craving some hash browns, you have to try this air fryer hash browns recipe. They turn out perfectly every single time. It's such a game changer!

It's the perfect brunch side dish. Whether you're hosting a brunch or you need a quick breakfast for those busy mornings, these are the best crispy hash browns.

these frozen hashbrowns in the air frer are my favorite way to make trader joe's frozen hash brown patties!

    Ingredients

When I say this recipe calls for simple ingredients, all you need is frozen hash brown patties!

Frozen Hash Brown Patties. This is seriously all you need! A few frozen patties and your air fryer. If you want to add some extra flavor, you can always sprinkle on some garlic powder or onion powder. I like to get ALDI or Trader Joe's brand frozen potato patties. You can find these at any local grocery store, though.

Some recipes may recommend a little oil, but I think these air fryer hash brown patties cook perfectly just the way they are!

How to make frozen hash brown patties in an air fryer

    1. Preheat your air fryer to 400F.
    2. Arrange your hash brown patties in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
    3. Cook your hash brown patties for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes.
    4. Allow to cool for 1-2 minutes and serve immediately. Enjoy with your favorite breakfast foods.

Note: the cooking time may vary depending on the type and size of your air fryer. You'll want to be sure you cook them until they are a rich golden brown color.

It is so easy to make frozen hash brown patties in the air fryer!

    Tips

Preheat your air fryer. Your air fryer is like an oven! It needs to be preheated before you start cooking in it. If your air fryer doesn't have a preheat setting, simply let your air fryer run on empty for 5 minutes at whatever temperature the recipe requires.

Flip the hash brown patty. When you're air frying frozen hash brown patties, you'll want to carefully flip them halfway through cooking.

Crispy Hash Browns. If you want your hash browns extra crispy, you can crank the air fryer up to 420F after 10 minutes of cooking and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

What to serve with hashbrown patties

You can serve these crispy air fryer hash browns with all your favorite breakfast items like a fried egg, air fryer bacon, breakfast sausage, and fresh fruit. You could also get a little more elaborate and build a brunch charcuterie board and include these delicious hash browns.

Some of my other brunch favorites include air fryer donuts, brioche french toast casserole, or air fryer cinnamon rolls.

You can also sub out bread and make egg and avocado "toast" using these hash brown patties!

    Storing and reheating

If you cook too many hash browns, you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. To reheat, simply air fry at 320F for 2-3 minutes.

How do you make frozen hash browns not soggy?

If you're looking to make frozen hash brown patties not soggy, my number one tip is to pre-heat your air fryer! When your air fryer is heated, it makes your food cook so much crispier, and it's guaranteed to turn out perfect every time.

You can also cook your hash browns in the air fryer for a little longer. Cook time may vary depending on the size of your air fryer and if your air fryer has any other capabilities.
