What is Aperol?
Aperol originated from Italy and it's an apéritif. An apéritif, you ask? It's a cocktail you usually drink before a meal. An apéritif is designed to stimulate your appetite, thus Aperol spritz cocktails the perfect pre-dinner drink!
A traditional Aperol spritz recipe combines Aperol, of course, prosecco and a splash of club soda. It's the perfect summer drink, in my opinion, and it's the perfect mix of tartness with sweetness.

What is Chambord?
Chambord is a black raspberry liqueur from France. So, we are just world travelers with this little cocktail. Aperol is more bitter, yet citrusy and Chambord has a sweeter, berry taste, and they go so well together.
A popular Chambord cocktail that you may have heard of is a French Martini.

Here's what you need for this fall Aperol spritz recipe.
Aperol. Of course, you'll need Aperol. Luckily, Aperol spritzes have really taken off in popualrity in the last few years, so you can most likely find Aperol at your local grocery or liquor store.
Chambord. Chambord is a popular liquor, but you may need to go to a liquor store like Binny's, Total Wine, or whatever is in your geographic region.
Ginger Beer. I love how the sweet yet spiciness of ginger beer brings together both the Aperol and the Chambord. The spice gives it that perfect fall twist that you will absolutely love.
Prosecco. I like to use prosecco, given that it tends to be more affordable than champagne, but you can use whatever dry, white sparkling wine y ou enjoy.

Can you make this into a batched cocktail?
It's very hard to make an Aperol spritz of any kind as a batched cocktail, because you don't want the bubbles to go flat. Instead of a batched cocktail, I recommend making a spritz bar complete with Aperol, any other liquor, juices, club soda, sparkling wine and any garnishes.
If you are looking for a batched cocktail that can be made in whole ahead of time, try this bourbon cranberry cocktail!

If you don't already have one, you need this champagne saver! It is the best. You don't have to worry about finishing or wasting any remaining sparkling wine, you can just go ahead and save it!
If you're setting up a spritz bar, be sure to get yourself a wine chiller so you can keep a cold bottle of sparkling wine on your counter or bar area.
