You'll love this Christmas quiche recipe
It's delicious. This Christmas morning quiche is packed with flavor. It'll be your favorite recipe to make whether it be on Christmas Day or any special occasion.
It's easy to make. This is so easy quiche recipe! Even if you are making quiche for the first time, you will nail it!
It's perfect for the holidays. Using red and green veggies makes this a perfect recipe to add to your Christmas brunch.
Ingredients
Pie Crust. I use frozen store-bought pie crust because I find that it makes things so much easier!
Eggs. Eggs are the main part of a quiche, without eggs, you don't have a quiche!
Milk. Milk is essential for getting that creamy quiche filling. I prefer to use whole milk, but you can use heavy cream, or whatever milk you prefer.
Cheese. The cheese is also essential for that creamy, flavorful egg base. I love the flavor combinations of cheddar and Swiss, but you can use your favorite cheeses.
Spinach. I recommend using fresh spinach to avoid having a watery quiche filling.
Red Bell Pepper. Red bell pepper goes perfectly with the spinach for the red and green Christmas theme!
Onion. For flavor, I always like adding an onion.
Bacon. This is my breakfast meat of choice, you can also use breakfast sausage, or omit the meat altogether if you're looking for a vegetarian brunch recipe this holiday season.
Salt. Salt is essential. Now, don't forget, the bacon and the cheese does add some salt, so you'll want to add just a pinch and remember, you can always add more to your piece!
Black Pepper. I recommend adding a pinch of black pepper as the finishing touch for this quiche.

How do you keep a quiche from getting soggy on the bottom?
I recommend blind baking the crust. This means simply baking your pie crust at 350F for 7-8 minutes.
Substitutions and variations
Veggies. Sub in any of your favorite vegetables like green peppers, broccoli florets, mushrooms, green onions, or even make a butternut squash quiche.
Cheese. I use a combination of white cheddar and Swiss cheese, but you can use sharp cheddar cheese, fresh mozzarella, or Colby jack.
Dietary restrictions. If you want to make this a vegetarian version, leave out the bacon! You can also substitute the bacon for breakfast sausage for a hearty quiche recipe.
Pie Shell. I opt for a store-bought pie crust, but you can use a homemade crust.
Tips for making the best quiche
Baking Sheet. Place your Christmas quiche tin on a baking sheet, then fill your quiche. If you try to fill your quiche and then move it from the counter to the oven, you might spill.
Fresh Herbs. Don't shy away from fresh herbs! Basil, sage leaves, thyme, or rosemary would all taste great.
