You'll love these air fryer pierogies

It's such an easy dinner. I like making these air fryer pierogies for an easy dinner, but you can also make them for a quick snack or side dish! They require no preparation and can be ready to eat in as little as 10 minutes.

They turn out perfectly every time. This is a fool-proof way to cook pierogies and is such an easy air fryer recipe! You'll get the perfect pierogies every time. In my opinion, this is the best way to cook pierogies.

Frozen pierogies in the air fryer are such an easy air fryer dinner recipe! Such an easy way to cook frozen pierogies, done in just 10 minutes, here's how to make them!

    Ingredients

When I say this is a simple recipe, this is SUCH a simple recipe! I also much prefer air frying pierogies as opposed to pan frying or deep frying them, it's a great healthier alternative and you still get that golden brown perfect crispy texture outside and ooey gooey deliciously savory inside.

Frozen Pierogies. I like Ms. T's, but you can use your favorite! You can also use homemade pierogies, I always opt for the frozen kind, though. I like keeping things simple!

Cooking Oil Spray. I like to spray them to make sure that they don't stick. If you don't have spray, you can use a little oil! I would recommend using olive oil or olive oil spray.

Depending on what you like to serve with your pierogies, you may need additional ingredients such as sour cream, greek yogurt, green onions, ketchup, or mustard. I included the ingredients to just strictly make these air fryer pierogies!

How to make air fryer pierogies

For best results, I recommend preheating your air fryer! Think of your air fryer like an oven. You need it to be at the temperature before you start cooking it for whatever it is you're making to cook properly!

    1. Preheat your air fryer. If your air fryer doesn't have a preheat setting, just set it to cook at 360F for 3 minutes.
    2. After preheating, spray your air fryer basket. Place pierogies into the air fryer basket.
    3. Spray the pierogies with nonstick cooking spray and give them a shake.
    4. Arrange them into a single layer.
    5. Cook at 360F for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway. If you want crispier pierogies, cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
    6. Garnish with some green onions and a dollop of sour cream and enjoy.

Note: Depending on the size and type of your air fryer, the cooking time may vary.

Tip: If you want more steamed pierogies rather than that crisp texture, you can add a tablespoon or two of water to the bottom of the air fryer basket.

How do you cook frozen pierogies in the air fryer? Cooking frozen pierogies in the air fryer is such an easy, hassle-free way to prepare them. Here are some commonly asked questions that'll help you!

    What are pierogies

Pierogies are Polish dumplings traditionally with a savory filling of cheese and mashed potatoes. However, similar to any dumpling recipe, there are so many different types of pierogies with various fillings! You can make fresh pierogies and have fun experimenting with fillings, or see what the grocery store has to offer.

What to serve with air fryer pierogies

You can serve your pierogies with a side of sour cream and kielbasa. This was a family favorite meal growing up! You can also serve them with your favorite dipping sauce like ketchup or mustard. You can also serve them with a simple side salad or roasted vegetables.

    Storing and reheating

Store any leftover pierogies in an airtight container in the fridge. You can reheat in the microwave by microwaving them for 30 seconds - 1 minute or you can air fry them at 320F for 3-4 minutes.
