It's easy to make! When it's summer, I love a good no-bake recipe. You still want to bring a fun dessert to a party, but you absolutely don't want to turn the oven on, so that's where this Cinnamon Toast Crunch bars recipe comes into play.

It's delicious! The epic combination of cinnamon, gooey marshmallows, butter, and a dash of vanilla extract make for such a flavorful dessert.

These cinnamon toast crunch treats are the perfect no-bake dessert recipe.

    What is Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a classic cereal that's been around forever. They are small squares made of whole grains with swirls of real cinnamon and sugar and fortified with a handful of vitamins and minerals. You can find this in the cereal aisle in your favorite grocery store.

    Ingredients

Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is everyone's favorite cinnadust-blasted cereal. They are packed with that cinnamon sugar flavor and are a great cereal to upgrade your regular Rice Krispie Treats recipe.

Butter. I recommend using butter, as opposed to coconut oil, canola oil, or margarine for this recipe.

Vanilla Extract. The secret to any good cereal treat? You have to add a splash of vanilla extract. It brings all the flavors to a whole new level that you will love.

Marshmallows. I use mini marshmallows because they melt faster, you can use large marshmallows or mini marshmallows, whatever you have on hand. However, be sure that they are fresh marshmallows, or else your treats will the very hard and stale.

    2. Prepare your pan with non-stick cooking spray or parchment paper. Set aside.
    3. In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt your butter.
    4. Once the butter is melted, add in your marshmallows and vanilla extract.
    5. Melt until the marshmallows, butter, and vanilla extract become one smooth mixture.
    6.  Add in your cereal and stir until the cereal is fully coated.
    7. Pour your cereal mixture into your prepared pan.
    8. Using a piece of parchment paper, carefully press the treats into an even layer in the pan.
    9. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Is Cinnamon Toast Crunch just Golden Grahams?

They are not! They are similar to Golden Grahams, but not the same. Golden Grahams have a bit more of a graham cracker/honey taste whereas Cinnamon Toast Crunch has a more cinnamon/brown sugar taste.

    FAQ

    Why are my treats hard?

You may not have used fresh marshmallows or you pushed down the treats too much when you poured them into the baking pan to col.

Can you make cereal treats in the microwave?

You can! In a large microwave-safe bowl, microwave your butter and marshmallows together on high for 3 minutes. Add your cereal and stir until well-coated. Transfer to your prepared baking dish, cover with plastic wrap, and set aside to cool.

    Amazon home kitchen finds

I love Ello Bakeware, the 9x13 pans come with lids so you can let the treats cool in there and store them in there!

You'll also want to make sure that you have some mixing bowls, I love these nesting stainless steel ones.
