- Add your 1 cup of blueberries, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water to a small saucepan or medium saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a low heat or gentle simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until the blueberries have burst and the mixture thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Pour the syrup through a fine mesh strainer or fine mesh sieve into a glass jar, mason jar, or an airtight container. Discard the solids.
