This tikka masala pizza with chicken is such a fun twist on homemade pizza! It's packed full of flavor, super easy to make and you'll love this whether it be for a pizza night at home or an easy weeknight dinner.

What is a tikka masala?

Tikka masala is a creamy tomato sauce. It has ginger, garlic, and onions accompanying the tomatoes so it's incredibly flavorful and used as a base for dishes like paneer tikka masala. The cream component typically comes from Greek yogurt, coconut milk, or whole milk.

Ingredients

– 1 lb pizza dough – ¼ c. tikka masala – 1 c. chicken breast cooked and shredded – 2 c. shredded cheese or 4-6 slices of cheese – ¼ c. sliced onion – 3-4 tbsp cilantro

How to make chicken tikka masala pizza

1. Heat oven to 450F. 2. While your oven is preheating, on a non-stick baking sheet or pizza stone, roll out our dough to your desired shape and thickness. I prefer mine on the slightly thinner side. 3. Brush olive oil over your pizza crust and bake in your preheated oven for 10 minutes. 4. While your crust is cooking, prep your pizza toppings.

5. Once the crust is done baking, take it out of the oven and begin to assemble your pizza. Sauce, chicken, onions, and cheese. 6. Put back in the oven and bake at 450F until the cheese melts. Should be about 7-10 minutes. 7. Broil on high for 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese becomes lightly golden brown and bubbly. 8. Let it cool for about 10 minutes, slice, and enjoy!

Paneer Tikka Pizza. ​Paneer is an Indian cheese made from full-fat buffalo or cow's milk. It's creamy, yet sturdy and you can use marinated paneer to top your pizza off for an extra layer of flavor. Tofu Tikka Masala Pizza. If you want another vegetarian option, you can also add tofu slices to the top of your Indian-style pizza. Veggies. If you don't want to stop at just onions, don't! You can add green pepper, red pepper, or even corn to the top of your pizza.
