Corona - You can use regular Corona, Corona Light or Corona Premium, whichever is your favorite! Tequila - I recommend using Blanco tequila for this recipe. It still has that great tequila bite, but the flavor of Blanco tequila vs. Reposado is milder, so you can let the other flavors in this cocktail shine. Pineapple or Orange Juice - Since this is called "Sunrise" lots of recipes call for orange juice, which is great, but I love making this with pineapple juice. Grenadine - If you want that "sunrise" look be sure to add your grenadine last. I am a fan of Rose's Grenadine or you can attempt to make your own! Fresh Lime - If any cocktail recipe calls for lime, I'm always going to strongly suggest using fresh lime rather than fake lime juice. It tastes so much better fresh!
– Open your Corona and drink it down to about where the label starts. – Add in your tequila, juice and grenadine. If you want to make sure you get that sunset look, add your grenadine last! – Add in your fresh lime, and plug the bottle with your thumb. Carefully turn it upside down to mix all the ingredients. – Cheers!
What other juice can I use for this corona cocktail? You can use pineapple or mango juice instead of orange juice in this Corona Sunrise. Can you make a corona sunrise with vodka? Absolutely! If tequila isn't your thing, sub it out for vodka. What can you substitute grenadine for? You can substitute it with maraschino cherry juice or a mixture of equal parts pomegranate juice and simple syrup.
