I absolutely love this crispy air fryer halloumi recipe. It's so versatile and so easy to make! From an easy appetizer to an easy weeknight dinner (like halloumi tacos anyone?) you'll absolutely love this recipe.
Halloumi is a salty cheese made of a combination of goat's milk and sheep's milk. It's a traditional cheese hailing from the Eastern Mediterranean island of Cyprus. It's similar to mozzarella cheese, but a bit more rubbery when it's cold. It's perfect for grilling or heating up because it doesn't lose its form due to its high melting point. Its firm texture makes it perfect to cook up without totally melting! You can eat it cold, but it has a rubbery texture. The best way to eat it is either by air frying, grilling, or pan-frying.
Bruschetta. Grab some cherry tomatoes and fresh basil from your garden, and chop everything up and serve with slices of baguettes. You can also add peaches or strawberries to this bruschetta mix, it's delicious and such a great summer twist! Dips. This is the perfect cheese to pair with your favorite dipping sauce. Marinara, sweet chili sauce, a drizzle of honey, or honey mustard dressing are all great options. Tacos. Use a piece of halloumi as a base for your taco and it is so delicious and vegetarian! Burgers. Want an extra cheesy and delicious burger? Add a thick slice of halloumi on top of your burger and it's so good!
