Orange Juice Margarita

Katie Kelly

This orange juice margarita is such a refreshing margarita recipe, and it's also known as a Texas Margarita!

What is the difference between a regular margarita and a Texas margarita?

Your regular margarita has the classic combination of tequila, triple sec and lime. A Texas margarita recipe simply adds orange juice to that mix.

Ingredients for this margarita with orange juice

1. Tequila 2. Fresh Orange 3. Fresh Lime 4. Orange Juice

Yes! You absolutely can. I do this all the time. It's super easy to substitute for triple sec in a margarita. If you don't have triple sec you can use a splash of orange juice or a squeeze of fresh orange. It adds such a fresh flavor to this citrus margarita recipe.

Can I use orange juice instead of triple sec?

– In a cocktail shaker, pour in 1.5 oz. of tequila, ¼ orange, ¼ lime and 3 oz. orange juice per cocktail being made. – Add ice into the shaker, shake until visibly frosted. – Strain over ice into you margarita glass. – Garnish with an orange slice and a lime slice.
