These are some of my favorite ways to thicken a smoothie. I prefer a thicker smoothie as opposed to a watery smoothie, so these are some tried and true healthy ingredients I have used. 1. Adding a frozen banana is a great way to get a creamy texture while making your smoothie thicker. 2. Adding a quarter or half of an avocado. This makes for such creamy smoothies. 3. Add a scoop of raw oats. This is a great choice if you're looking to incorporate some complex carbs into your pineapple spinach smoothie recipe.
Is it OK to drink a green smoothie every day? Absolutely! Does blending spinach destroy nutrients? Nope! The fiber and other benefits stay intact when you blend the spinach, or any other fruits and veggies. Is it better to drink a green smoothie in the morning or at night? The morning. The nutrients your body absorbs will give you energy so it's a great way to start your day.
