White Wine Moscow Mules

Anything with Ginger in it (or ginger flavored), count me in. I love the flavor of ginger, from drinks to my stir fry, I will eat it in anything I can. So, naturally, I love Moscow Mules.

Last Friday, I wanted to make a cocktail to go with some sauteed Peach and Strawberry bruschetta (recipe coming soon- just you all wait.) I was thinking of making a sangria, but I already have two recipes for sangria’s on here. Can’t be THAT big of a repeat offender.


Thus, I created this White Wine Moscow Mule. The local Jewel only had Not Your Father’s Hard Ginger Ale- which tasted pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised considering I think that Root Beer beer is really gross, like so gross (sorry if I offended anyone).

As for the white wine, you can use any kind you like. I have made this drink twice now, one time being with a Pinot Grigio and once being with a Sauvignon Blanc. Both turned out great.

I personally didn’t cut it with any tonic water or anything. Unless you count the lime juice I squeezed into it as cutting it, this bad boy is straight alcohol. I mean, we have worked all week- we deserve it, right? Well, that’s what I’m telling myself.


Below is the recipe you’ll need to make this White Wine Moscow Mule!

White Wine Moscow Mules


  • 2 bottles White Wine, of choice
  • 2 12 oz bottles of Ginger Beer
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • 1 handful Mint leaves
  • 1/2 c. Strawberries, sliced


  1. In a pitcher, muddle together your strawberries and mint leaves. Then, pour in your lime juice and muddle all three together.
  2. Pour in your wine and ginger beer, stir well, and enjoy! Garnish with a mint leaf, strawberry slice and lime if you would like.
