Simple Morning Green Juice

I go through phases where I am obsessed with juicing. Currently: in one of those phases. Don’t know how long it’ll last. All last week, I would wake up, do my usual oil pulling, get ready for work, and then drink this green juice. My roommates also tried my first batch (totally not as good as this recipe), hated it, but did admit to feeling very healthy and rejuvenated.

I would have to agree with them. I wasn’t craving my morning coffee as bad as I usually am… keywords there “as bad”. I was still craving it, because I am a full fledged coffee fiend. Especially post Orange is the New Black season 4 coming out… I can tell myself I will only watch two episodes and go to bed, that doesn’t happen. I also may or may not have googled the spoilers (I did). I couldn’t handle the suspense, I needed to know what happened. Definition of impatient? Yeah.

So, back to this juice, since it lasted me for three mornings, the amount of sugar from the lemons and apples weren’t over bearing. Sometimes juices have a lot of sugar. I mean, it is all natural sugar, but still, some of them have a ton of sugar!!

Simple Morning Green Juice

Ingredients

  • 10 oz container of Kale
  • 10 oz container of Spinach
  • 1 heart Celery
  • 2 Cucumbers
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples
  • 2 Lemons

Instructions

  1. Clean and cut your celery, cucumbers, apples and lemons. I suggest buying organic produce, especially for the cucumbers and apples. That way you can juice the skin.
  2. Juice all your ingredients. Juicing the lemon skin is up to you. I prefer to.
