Roasted Garlic & Sriracha Hummus

I was lucky enough to have the people over at Maya Kaimal send me some more of their products. They sent me their entire line of Naan Chips and Chickpea Chips… what better dip to make to go with these chips than a hummus?

For anyone who knows me, I add Sriracha to everything I can. When thinking of a hummus recipe, I immediately thought to add sriracha.

As for the roasted garlic part, I simply diced a clove of garlic (the clove I used was ginormous, so I think it is safe to say it equaled two regular size cloves), and sauteed it in a small frying pan in 1/2 tbsp of oil. I roasted the diced garlic until it was a dark/golden brown.

I suggest that if you have a food processor, to use that to make this. Our family food processor got thrown out (my bad) and I used our blender. I would imagine with a food processor the making of the hummus would have been a lot easier.

Maya Kaimal has all sorts of flavors of their Naan and Chickpea chips, so you truly don’t even need anything to dip them in. For this hummus, I used their sea salt naan chips. I have to admit, they’re all addicting. Each and every flavor.

Roasted Garlic & Sriracha Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1-2 cloves of garlic, roasted
  • 1 can Chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 1.5 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika, plus more to sprinkle up top
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Rinse and dry your chickpeas. Combine all ingredients in a blender/food processor and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
