PB & J & Banana Oats

Yes, yet another Oatmeal recipe. Seriously though, waking up in the colder months and being forced out from the comfy embrace of your blanket can be pretty brutal. That’s why I make oatmeal so often in the fall/winter. That, and the fact that oatmeal is soooo versatile. I’ve read before, I forget where, that it is like a blank canvas. You can add and do so much with it.

With this recipe, I used my homemade sugarless grape jelly (find it here)… I really do love this jelly. I swear I’m not being biased! It is super yummy, and healthy too!

Ingredients

1 tbsp Peanut Butter

1 tbsp Jelly

1/2 Banana (sliced)

1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats (or whatever oats you prefer)

1 cup Water

Directions

– Boil your 1 cup of water in a pot on the stove.

– Once boiled, pour your 1/2 cup of oats in there

– Stir the oats in with the water until you reach your desired consitency. Remember that the oats will thicken up as they cool down!

– Put your PB, Jelly, and Banana on top of your oatmeal

-Enjoy!
