Double Chocolate Healthy Hot Chocolate

Last winter I tried to create multiple healthy hot chocolate recipes. They were are terrible. Tasted like, what I could imagine as, just like tree bark boiled in hot almond milk. So so so nasty. Then, this winter, I discovered how amazing and life changing unsweetened chocolate almond milk was. I knew this could be a game changer to the healthy hot chocolate game. Spoiler alert: it was.

That’s how this healthy hot chocolate gets it’s name of “double chocolate.” It is so chocolaty and so good, it makes me want to forget all responsibilities and binge watch ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas. Speaking of which, I have yet to watch Elf this holiday season, and to say I’m disappointed in myself is a vast understatement.

With that being said, forget all responsibilities, make this double chocolate healthy hot chocolate, grab your favorite blanket, watch your favorite holiday movie and get in the holiday spirit.

Double Chocolate Healthy Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Unsweetened Chocolate Almond Milk
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 4 tsp Truvia or Stevia, or any other sweetner

Instructions

  1. In a large frying pan, combine all ingredients, whisk together and heat until it is just piping hot.
  2. Pour in your favorite mug, and enjoy!
