Friday’s Favorite Bits: Hair Products Edition

Friday’s Favorite Bits: Hair Products Edition

Psssssssssssssssssst: this list is 2 things long. So calling all people who like to barely use anything on their hair. My favorite hair care product list is seriously so short, I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to my hair. Plus, after years of watching YouTube and Pinterest graphic tutorials, I can curl my hair in a hot second.

The absolute first (of two) things on my list is Dove Refresh + Care Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo. I put this stuff in my hair even right after I blow dry it after I wash it in the shower. I put this stuff in my hair almost every damn day. It gives my roots the oomph they need to get through the day. That is if I do not shower in the morning. Full disclosure, in the summers I switch to showering in the mornings and letting my hair air-dry. I am fully convinced that is why my hair grows like a freakin’ weed in the summer. I use a heat tool on it maybe 3-4 times a week, that might even be a stretch.

The next and final thing on my hair product must list… this Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Sea Salt Texturizing Spray. My main hairstyle is curling my hair, and I am constantly playing with my hair. Whether it be running my fingers through it, flipping my hair from one side to another, I am always playing with my hair. With that being said, hairspray makes my hair feel so damn gross and I can’t run my fingers through it, then like in the summer if it gets hot the hair spray gets all gross…. it’s just ugh no. I’ve grown to hate hairspray. I only use this stuff on my hair after I put my curls in it, and it’s great. It keeps a hold, your hair doesn’t feel gross and weighed down, and even in the dead of winter you smell like a beach. What’s not to love?

That’s seriously it. I know people who don’t wear a lot of face makeup because they don’t like how the makeup feels on their face. I have come to hate how a lot of product in my hair feels like. Plus teased hair. Can’t do it. I give my roots some dry shampoo lovin’ and then spray some of this sea salt spray on there and call it a day.

I was thinking of mayyyybe posting a tutorial for how I curl my hair. So that’s a TBD. I do get friends who ask me to curl their hair frequently, or asking me how I curl my hair to get it how it is. Stay tuned.
