This time of the year is the best for TV shows, I love all of the holiday specials. Modern Family always has a great episode. Not to mention the winter finale’s of Shondaland’s shows!? Say whaaaaaa? Ugh so much good TV out there. That makes for a perfect Friday after Thanksgiving. Your fat pants + hot chocolate + mass amounts of television and movies. Uhhhh yes please! Friday is always our big day to decorate the house for Christmas. I seriously love this time of the year.

Not only do we decorate for Christmas on the Friday after Thanksgiving, my brothers and I go Black Friday shopping. No, we do not wake up at the crack of dawn to get the the mall to be the first ones in line. We usually go around 3/4 pm. The mall is empty, restocked and reorganized. It is the perfect time to go. So let’s get down to business, let’s talk about this salad.

This salad is a twist on my original Autumn Salad (found here). This is a great recipe for a Thanksgiving side dish. It is super sweet and delicious. It would fit better as a dessert salad better than a side salad… but I mean, really.. who would want your dessert on a bed of Spinach? Sorry, not me. I’ll take a slice of pumpkin pie instead.

I used the Champagne Pear Vinaigrette (read about it here) for the dressing. I think a regular balsamic or a raspberry vinaigrette would work great with this too!

  • Oh I love how you incorporated the roasted butternut squash in here! With pomegranates too?? Perfection in a salad 🙂

      I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, with the squash, but I loved it! I let the squash cool, so it was room temp (if not a little colder)… It is definitely a great side salad for Thanksgiving dinner or just a great salad to have!
