If you’re looking for something new to try this weekend while firing up the grill, this Asian inspired turkey burger is exactly what you need to try. Except if you have a nut allergy. It has peanut butter in it. I’m not a doctor, but I would advise against it.
One of my favorite combinations has got to be Sriracha and peanut butter. The sweet/nutty flavor of the peanut butter mixed with the spicy Sriracha is to die for.
The main recipe and the main aspect of what makes this burger so great is the Asian coleslaw I topped it with. The sauce is a mixture of soy sauce, peanut butter, sriracha, ginger, and garlic. Then topped with an extra drizzle of Sriracha, this burger has a great kick to it.
The Asian coleslaw was super easy to make partially because I bought prepackaged broccol-slaw mix with red cabbage and carrots in it. So all I had to do was crush the ramen, dice the water chestnuts, and make the sauce. Seriously. Super easy. Couldn’t get easier.
I ate these bad boys with a fork and knife. But honestly, get on with your bad self and just go in for it. Put the top of the bun on that massive pile of coleslaw and have yourself a meal. It will be messy. Have plenty of napkins and or wet wipes readily available.
Also for my 23rd birthday, I treated myself to a new camera. I bought a basic point and shoot, but these are the first photos on the blog using it! I would say it is a decent step up from my insanely cracked iPhone 6.
Below you will find everything you need to make these Asian inspired turkey burgers! You can also add edamame to the Asian coleslaw. I wanted to, but forgot to buy edamame. Me? Forgetting something? That’s weird. Never happens.
